Latest is Green
These include an increasing demand for:
Environmentally conscious construction
Green building standards
Greater convenience by end users
Minimal impact on the ecosystem
Building and construction in India is no exception to this trend. With IGBC's mandatory green building practices and in the midst of a fierce fight against pollution and harmful substances used in construction.
An “Intelligent Green Building” is defined as a building which is energy efficient and has little or no negative impact on the environment thanks to better design, and construction techniques including improved indoor environment quality, energy conservation and heat recovery technology, the reutilization of sustainable building materials, and installation.

Home automation
The new intelligent technologies being used in smart/intelligent homes is named under the umbrella term called Home Automation or Network to home. Home automation is an upcoming trend that the public looks for in residential houses, apartments, and commercial businesses. The technology remains same in the commercial and residential spaces, however the application differs. For example, biometric access system used in the house is for security and convenience, for a commercial purpose the same system is configured for inventory check, tracking employees attendance etc.
The intelligent building technologies provide convenience and luxury. An automated home can be a very simple grouping of controls, or it can be an automation extravaganza where just about anything that is plugged into electrical power is remotely controlled.
Few builders like Aliens Group, a young and dynamic growing real estate group in Hyderabad, have embedded home automation features in Aliens Space Station 1, a project at Tellapur, to make their customers life more comfortable and secure. The virtual home function helps a homeowner in using the internet to remotely control the home appliances and security features like: Maid mode: restricts access to the maid in your absence. Kid’s mode: restricts access to electrical appliances when no one is around and helps to watch over them when in the play areas. Biometric access: eliminates unwanted hassles of losing keys by giving access to only authorized persons through finger prints. A variety of features like Wi-Fi connectivity, touch panel integrated automation system, CCTV/motion sensor cameras at common areas and parking lots, video streaming of visitors in the main gate, electrical fencing, centralized billing of water, power, & gas, smoke/gas leak detection system, fire alarm, wet sprinklers and other home automation benefits are available in the homes of Space Station 1.
Safety, security and comfort along with stylish living space make Aliens Space Station 1 a futuristic living space and an intelligent choice for those customers who’d like to invest in these homes.
“Customers are highly amazed when they hear about technologies which have not even been used in countries like Europe (with the exception of intercom facilities). They feel highly safe and secure under the shelter of booming technology implementation in their living space. Moreover, it is a great convenience and support in their hurry- burry, stressful lifestyle” says Hari Challa, MD- Aliens Group.
Other builders in Hyderabad like Lodha Group have incorporated video security, remote access, motion sensors, touch panel systems in their projects for enhancing customers lifestyle. Mantri & DLF have also incorporated basic home automation features such as video security system. Many others will soon follow the footsteps of these builders.
Today’s luxury by means of advanced automation system may sound too futuristic, however while moving towards future, requirements gradually increase and these features will continue to enhance & match even your future lifestyle. An investment made today will last for generations.

Green
The reason why everybody is turning Green today can be attributed not only to environmental consciousness, but also to the fact that it has many benefits attached to it. Not only do you save up to 30% of energy and 50% of fresh water, but you also cause 70 % less air pollution.
And that’s the message ‘Green homes’ convey today. A Green home, through better setting, design, construction, operation, and maintenance, increases the efficiency with which buildings use resources — energy, water, and materials — reducing the building’s impact on human health and the environment during the building's lifecycle. Every Green home receives a certification from IGBC (Indian Green Building Council) once it fulfils certain parameters.
Few builders in India have adopted the Green Home concept. Aliens Space Station 1 from Hyderabad is the first of its kind. They have the highest rating (Platinum pre-certification) by IGBC. Palais Royale and Mahindra Splendour (both are in Mumbai) are some others who have chosen to go green like the Aliens group. It’s still a long way to go but the trend is fast catching up. Embracing a greener lifestyle isn't just about helping to preserve equatorial rain forests, it also means improving your health, padding your bank account, and, ultimately, improving your overall quality of life.
Let us take the Green pledge, sing the green anthem and go greener.

Latest construction techniques
Today, smarter techniques are changing the face of construction industry. Massive foundation, high-rise structure, shear walls, form work technology, are some of these modern construction technologies.
Some of the world renowned buildings with unique and amazing shapes are Forest Spiral – Hundertwasser Building, Germany, The Basket Building (Ohio, United States), Wonderworks (Pigeon Forge, TN, United States) and many more.
There are massive structures in India developed by firms like Hiranandani in Mumbai, Shapoorji Pallonji & Co Ltd. in Mumbai, Aliens Group and L&T in Hyderabad etc. These construction industry bigwigs and their designs will make India shine at a global level in real estate designs and architecture.
With home automation addressing these lifestyle aspects living in such a building is experience in itself.
It is intelligent to choose to live in a place that is rich in structural integrity, a design that makes your home both eco friendly and future ready.

Intelligent building technologies
What are the new Intelligent building technologies being used in construction today?
The construction industry involves vast implementation of latest technology to bring the modern look, convenience factor and safety measures in residential, commercial, infrastructure projects .
The new intelligent technologies being used in smart/intelligent homes is named under the umbrella term called Home Automation or Network to home.
Home automation is an up-and-coming trend that the public looks for in residential houses, apartments, and commercial businesses. Although many techniques used in building automation (such as light and climate control, control of doors and window shutters, security and surveillance systems, etc.) are also used in home automation, additional functions in home automation can include the control of multi-media home entertainment systems, automatic houseplant watering, domestic robots and pet feeding, automatic scenes for dinners and parties, and a more user-friendly control interface. Other automated tasks may include setting the air conditioning to an energy saving setting when the house is unoccupied, and restoring the normal setting when an occupant is about to return. Some practical implementations of home automation are for example when an alarm detects a fire or smoke condition, then all lights in the house will blink to alert occupants. If the house is equipped with a home theater, a home automation system can shut down all audio and video components to alert the user to a possible fire or a burglar.
